Easy / Moderate Tour

Explore a forest steeped in tradition and venture through snow covered trails to our exclusive backcountry teepee. This introductory tour will give you a taste of snowshoeing while learning about the nature around you. Enjoy a hot drink and a snack on Whistler’s most unique snowshoe teepee adventure. This a great tour for those looking for a calm and easy walk with approximately 30 minutes of snowshoeing each way.

WHAT TO WEAR?
Wear appropriate winter clothing. Jacket, pants, boots, gloves, goggles or sunglasses, and hats are recommended. Please wear any warm gear you have. We will provide Snowshoes and Pole.

WHERE TO MEET?
Snowshoe Tours depart from our Dogsled Base. You must drive approx. 20 minutes South of Whistler Village. Turn off HWY 99 onto Callaghan Valley Road then travel up this road for about 5-10 minutes. Do not go to our Snowmobile Base, the Dogsled Base is further up the road. Look for our big Dogsled sign on the Left-hand side. Then take your next left. Ample Free Parking at base. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time to check in. Google Maps “Blackcomb Dogsled Base” for directions.

Optional shuttles are available upon request for a nominal fee. We can also offer pickups from The Fairmont Chateau, Four Seasons, Nita Lake Lodge and Legends. If you are meeting us at The Fairmont, Four Seasons or The Hilton, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour time to meet our driver or check in. If you are meeting us in Creekside at Legends or Nita Lake Lodge, please meet us outside 15 minutes before your tour time.

DIFFICULTY
Our Daytime Teepee is a beginner snowshoe tour with no experience required. There will be about 40-60 minutes of snowshoeing total depending on pace. 20-30 minutes to our Teepee where you will stop and have a hot apple cider and cookie then about a 20-30 minute walk back.
