Intermediate backcountry experience

This intermediate 2.5 hour guided snowshoe tour takes you to a viewpoint overlooking the stunning mountains across the valley. Explore the lush temperate rain forest and learn all about the flora and fauna of the region. Keep your eyes open for wildlife in the sky and creature tracks in the snow.
This is a great tour for those looking for a great workout with approximately 1.5 hours of hiking.

WHAT TO WEAR?
Wear appropriate winter clothing. Jacket, pants, boots, gloves, goggles or sunglasses, and hats are recommended. Please wear any warm gear you have. We will provide Snowshoes and Pole.

WHERE TO MEET?
Snowshoe Tours depart from our Dogsled Base. You must drive approx. 20 minutes South of Whistler Village. Turn off HWY 99 onto Callaghan Valley Road then travel up this road for about 5-10 minutes. Do not go to our Snowmobile Base, the Dogsled Base is further up the road. Look for our big Dogsled sign on the Left-hand side. Then take your next left. Ample Free Parking at base. Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time to check in. Google Maps “Blackcomb Dogsled Base” for directions.

Optional shuttles are available upon request. We can also offer pickups from The Fairmont Chateau, Four Seasons, Nita Lake Lodge and Legends. If you are meeting us at The Fairmont, Four Seasons or The Hilton, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour time to meet our driver or check in. If you are meeting us in Creekside at Legends or Nita Lake Lodge, please meet us outside 15 minutes before your tour time.

Our Eagle Ridge Snowshoe Tour is more of an intermediate snowshoe experience. This will be about 1.5 hour of time snowshoeing with no stop at the Teepee.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Booking & Payment – A credit card is required to hold all bookings. The credit card used to book must be present when checking in on the day of your tour as well as the card holder and valid ID. By entering your credit card details you are authorizing that your card will be charged at the time of the tour if no other method of payment is presented. This applies for cancellations within 24 hours or no shows.

Cancellation policy – We require at least 24 hours notice prior to your tour for any changes or cancellations. Groups of 10 or more require 72 hours notice of change or cancellation. Tours cancelled within 24 hours, ‘no shows’ or missed tour times are liable for the full price of the booking. If you arrive late there is no guarantee we will have spaces for you on a later tour and no refund will be issued. Blackcomb Snowmobile reserves the right to cancel or combine any tour due to inclement tour weather, un-foreseeable hazards or insufficient bookings. Full refunds will be made or alternate dates will be offered in this situation.

Release of liability – All guests are required to sign a Release of Liability waiver at our base prior to tour departure. Any guests under 19 must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf and be present on tour. Please note snowmobiling involves various risks, dangers and hazards. These risks are outlined in our release of liability, waiver of claims, assumption of risks and indemnity agreement. This agreement will affect your legal rights should you be involved in an accident.

Health – Adventure sport activities are not recommended for individuals who suffer back or neck pain and/or heart or respiratory distress. Consult your physician prior to participation.
